The DEG – Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH is granting a loan of 900,000 EUR as part of the AfricaConnect program to “Das Labor. GmbH”. With this capital, the company plans to expand its existing laboratories and open new sites in Togo and Benin. The total investment sum for the project is 1.8 million EUR.<\/p>\n

“Das Labor.” already offers medical diagnostics in Guinea and C\u00f4te d’Ivoire and plans to create an additional 60 jobs in Togo and Benin. The company also produces COVID antigen rapid tests in C\u00f4te d’Ivoire, with half of the tests going to local sales outlets and the other half to public health facilities as part of a partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).<\/p>\n

The DEG welcomes the collaboration with “Das Labor.”, as the company is oriented towards long-term operations and aims to create positive added value locally.<\/p>\n
